Day 5

Starting to work on siding this house. We redid the roof on this house
earlier in the week.

Mission Week 2010

This was my first mission trip and it wasn't anything like I thought it would be. I thought we would just come and work just to work, but I realized that it is much more than that. Our church has helped a lot of people. The people that either chose willingly not to come or just couldn't find a ride, or whatever thier situation was they really missed out on an amazing experience and we all had a lot of fun. Don't get me wrong it was hard, we did work from start to finish, but it was worth it to see people who either didn't have the funds or just physically couldn't do the jobs that we did this week. Bill Morlan said to all of this week before we started that we all need help, and I know that this is true. This week was an amazing experience and if you didn't go you missed out on a lot.

Mission Week :)

This week has been pretty awesome :D God again has shown me so much in his glory, not only doing the work, but the world around us. Mountains & just the landscape, in Michigan everything is flat and instead of seeing a mountain, you see a taco bell ;) The people we have worked this week has truely been a blessing, i've talked to all of them and they really are all nice and warming. I agree what David Sheppard says "you're here for a reason." A lot of us wanted to come here to see our friends, but we saw and learned so much more than that :)) God blessed me this week and I'm happy to go back with the flame blazing :) Miss you all already :)

2010 Mission Week

This was our first mission trip and we had a lot of fun. We got to paint and use the power saw for the first time. We also got sunburnt and it hurts really badly, but other than that, we had an awesome week.

Glorify

This week has been all about God. Working everyday, mostly painting, really showed how much God does for us everyday. Being able to witness to people through painting or simply working on their house made a difference. God's power helped us stay emcouraged through the week. Working with all of the Gassaway people have been amazing and a wonderful experience, this week will be remembered forever.

sleepy

This week has been a pretty good week. All the projects we have worked on have all been a good time. The only bad part of the week is the early morning get up. I am used to sleeping in, but this week is important and i feel it is all for a good cause. God has a plan for all of us and will put us where he needs us. He knows what he is doing even in the times where you have no idea what is going on he is always there for you. God loves you and will never put you somewhere you shouldn't be.

sincerely

Mission Week in Braxton

Follow the youth of Gassaway Baptist Church this week as they work around the county on various projects. Come back here for daily video, pictures, and postings from the youth as they work during the week. We encourage you to leave them comments as they go out this week and serve God. Have a great day.
