Day 8 | Hannah Dittman

Yesterday we went to Yellowstone National Park. It was a great day but it was a long day! We saw many animals during the trip but mainly buffalo. We would have missed a lot of the animals but thanks to Vicki, we never missed an animal sighting! There were a lot of pretty waterfalls but, thanks to Lloyd fast driving, we miss some of the falls. We did see Old Faithful and a lot of pretty springs. It was a very long 19 hr day but I had so much fun! Today, I did VBS which was pretty fun. The little kids crack me up sometimes! But VBS is only two hrs so I went to screw down a floor. Tess and I tag-teamed and put the screws in place so Emily could come by and screw them down. After that, we came back to camp and cleaned the bathroom. So now the bathrooms are much nicer than before! I still can’t believe that we have one more work day here! The time has just flown by! I am so blessed to have been able to come on this trip.

Day 6 | Hannah Dittman

Today was day two of painting! I can honestly say I have more paint on me today than I did yesterday! Even though it was very hot today, I still had so much fun working with my group! I started painting today in the same spot I was in yesterday. I eventually had to climb a ladder to get higher up. Although, I did not go up as high as some of the others. It was high for me! Tomorrow we are going to Yellowstone National Park. I hope we see some buffalos, prairie dogs, moose, and some other animals. It will be a long day, but hopefully a good one!

Day 5 | Hannah Dittman

Today was so fun! We all started at the Play Ground cleaning up the park. But I was only there for an hour. After that, a smaller group went to the church to pick up rocks. But I was only there for an hour and a half. Finally, a group of us went to a house that we painted. The family there was supper nice! I stayed in one spot for 3 or 4 hours! But we finally got that spot done! There were two kids at the house Joseph and John, who wanted to paint. So, I let them paint with me. Then Joseph stepped in paint and I had to clean his foot! Then they wanted me to watch them jump on the trampoline. So, I watched them. Until I had to paint a window above the sub roof. After that we cleaned up and headed to the camp. But before we got to the camp we stopped at DQ! I had so much fun today and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for the rest of the week!

Day 4 | Hannah Dittman

We attended Kenny’s church today. It was a nice service, I really enjoyed it! After church we went to Hardin to eat. Mom and I went to Pizza Hut. It was alright. After we ate, we went back to the cabins and changed clothes to go to Yellowtail Dam. I did not swim in the lake but the scenery was beautiful! Then the wind started to pick up and a kid almost drowned but Jarren dove in the water after him! I was very worried for the boy and Jarren. The boats where going in every direction. Right before Jarren reached the kid and boat picked him up. Jarren made his way back to the dock. So today was quite an adventure but I am very excited for this week. I miss everyone back home, including my dog!

Today was a good day. The ride might have been long, but I sleep a good bit of it! I am excited to see what God has planned for us over the next week.

Day 14 | Hannah Dittman

Wow! That is all that I can say about this week. I have been blessed to be with such wonderful people and family. I’m so sad that we have to leave tomorrow but I know that God work is never finished. The kids this week have impacted more than ever. They have showed me that I have no reason not to be smiling. Today started out amazing and it ended the same. We started with the house dedication with was beautiful. The family was so appreciative and the dad of the house gave us all certificated. After that we meet our sponsor kids. I was so great to see Dawnensky after two years. He is such a blessing to have. It was great to see how much he has grow. The first time I meet him he was very shy but today he was all over the playground. He held my hand the entire time, unless he was playing on the playground. We also went to the zoo, he loved it and he never let me go! He loved playing soccer, so we played for a long time. He was definitely the highlight of the day. I am going to miss him so much. After that we went to Mountain Maid and ate. We went to bartered, I only got a bracelet. Then I took a nap. I went though some emotional pain! Because of Tyler, Russell, Logan and Kenton. They said this might be their last mission trip…. This week was amazing I don't want to leave. Dad I cant wait to see love you. Preston sorry that we missed you and Trey on skype. it was all Emily’s fault. She didn't listen to me.

Day 13 | Hannah Dittman

Today was the day we finish the house and it was the last day of working for both groups. I am so sad that we have to leave in two days. I have been so touched by the kids here and I am so sad that I won’t get to see them for two years. Today at the job site I did stucco on the bottom of the house to make sure water wouldn't get in the house. The family are so thanking for their house and can not wait to be in it. While we were working Robison said that we are not princesses because we were working; which I totally disagree with. When we go back to the house i didn't really do anything it was pretty chill day for me. Dad love and miss you! Preston , Emily said that i\ft you comment on her blog then we will buy you something!

Day 12 | Hannah Dittman

So today I went to the church. Today was honestly my favorite day. When we got there a little girl need help with her bracelet from Saturday her name was Lovemica. I took her to see Vicky and she fixed it them she was my shadow all day. We also painted the sides of the church. As soon as we started to paint all the kids can running to help. I had three kids that all wanted to help but I only had two paint brushes. So, I had to make sure all of the kids were sharing with each others. I was making sure the kids were painting the right things, while Lovemica was wanting me to play with her. After painting we when to vbs,which was great five boys got saved. I had to help a little boy with bingo because I didn't think he could read. I had a really great time and I am bummed that I cant go to the church, but excited to go to the house. I meet a little boy that I absolutely love and which I can take home with me. His name is Reginal he is super sweet. I am soo sad that I wont see him again, but maybe I can see him in two years. He was also one of the boys that got saved today. So that was awesome! I know that God is working here in the people of Haiti and also me. I know that God is here and working His mighty power! I love being here and don’t want to leave the kids. Dad love and miss you! DAD RUSSELL IS BAD MOUTHING MOM AND HE SAID THAT HE DIDNT LIKE HER ANYMORE… DO YOU WANT MICKEY TO HIT HIM ? Day 11 | Hannah Dittman

Today we went to a Haitian church for service. It started at 9 and ended around 11. There was another mission group that came here from Texas but they are not with BHM. The church was great the Texas pastor preached and another Haitian translated. It was great how we all came to worship together even though we might not have been able to understand each other. We all were their to worship the same God. After service some went on the hike, but I stayed here and napped. We played spoons a lot today and it has been a really good day. I can’t wait to finish the church and house. Dad love and miss you !

So today I worked at the house cite. I shifted sand all day and it was really hot. We go to meet the family that we are building the house for. I didn’t get to bad burnt because I had sunscreen on. It was very fun today and God is at work in Haiti. I cant wait to see what his has for the rest of the week. Dad love and miss you! Aunt Ronna and Nana, I hope you have a great time on the cruise love you both. Preston and Trey I heard you have a great time love you guys!

I had a wonderful day today! It was a blast help bust up concrete with a sledgehammer. Also it was fun playing with the little kids there. The would have you spin them around and the boys wanted to play soccer. It was kinda hard to understand them, because we don’t speak their language. But they didn't really care they were just happy to have someone to play with. The trip down to the church was ruff but it was also really pretty. We also had pizza for dinner which was really good. And I saw many goats today on the way up which was great. I had an amazing day and can’t to see what God has planned for the rest of the week. Dad love and miss you!

Day 8 | Hannah Dittman

So we made it to Haiti and a lot has changed since we were here two years ago. The smell has changed and there are more parks. I am so excited to be here and to see what work God is going to have us do. I forgot how happy the people are and how crazy the trip up was. For dinner we had the best bread ever, I mean it was REALLY good! I wish I had more right now. Today has been a very good day, the trip from Wv to Florida was good then i had steak’n’shake for dinner which was yummy. DAD I miss you and Love you! and dont forget to feed Maddy

Day 7 | Hannah

Today is our last day and I am very sad we are leaving. We went bartering it was fun way better than the market. I got to meet my sponsored kids today. He seemed very shy but he was so cute. It was one of those days were everything moves very slowly. I bought two things a bracelet and a painting it was very pretty . We said good bye to the people from Alabama and everyone else . I am kinda glad to me y coming home . Love and miss you daddy hope you had a safe trip .

I forgot to write something yesterday I lead bible study about worries. I am feeling much better. Last night Russell, Logan, Tyler, and Uncle Bill called themselves the Prom Squad. Mrs. Moyers this is for you. I have taken a shower and more than once so you should not smell me anymore. Dad I must say everyone was laughing, Russell said another bites the dust, but thanks for writing. I hope the air conditioner will be working when I come home and Maddy will be unscunked. It doesn’t surprise me that Nana cant figure out how to respond to the blog but I hope see while figure it out. Today we went to the market , it was horrible I will never ever go back . Then we went on a tour of where they we at last year and the bakery which was pretty cool but something that I don’t want to do. Yesterday I am sponsoring a little boy who is five years old and is in preschool. His name is Dawensky Edmond . Hopefully I will get to meet him. Right now I am watching Trey and Emily going through Honey Roasted Peanuts withdrawl. Daddy I love and miss you. I still want to stay next week but I cant !

Day 5 | Hannah

Well at 12 am I threw up. Mom and Cheryl had to clean it up and Tyler too me to the bathroom. I then went back to sleep for 6 hours. Then mom woke me up made me eat, and Uncle Bill let me go back to sleep . I sleep the rest of the day. Only eating crackers .

Day 4 | Hannah

Sorry for not writing last night I went to bed early. Yesterday there were two little kids a boy and a girl. We played with them for a long time, it was very fun even though we did not understand them .Today we went on a hike and it was very interesting. Well our tour guide took us the hard way down the mountain. It was good until I hurt myself, it was my hands both of them, left legs and the upper part on my leg. Then to make it worse we lost the group but then it was ok. We had church at 6:30 in the morning before we went hiking. I really wish I was staying another week because I love it. Daddy I hope you heard me on the screen today I love and miss you.

Day 2 | Hannah

Today we had sausage and pancakes it was good. I also saw three baby goats and one Billy goat that smelled bad. We started the day by getting the lumber and digging hole. Noah’s Ark is coming together really good. It took a lot of sand shifting sand, which I did a little. For dinner we had 50 people in our dining hall. It was pizza which was really good. This guy told his story about how he can to be a mission in Haiti and how hard it was to make it through the years. I hope I get a shower tonight but Vicky said that there is barley any water and I want a shower ! I am doing fine I miss you dad love you .

The ride down was alright but crammed and the airplane ride was funny. Then we went into a storm and the turbulence with was like a roller coaster. Once we landed and I saw the people and what they lived yet there were still happy. The smell was awful but they said it was not as bad as it was with the tent city’s there, which I could not even imagine. Even though they don’t have a lot some are happier than some people who have everything they want. Once we got here there were kids everywhere it was crazy. Uncle Bill took us on a tour of the compound and it was really pretty. Happy Father’s Day dad I love you and miss you. Could you record Twisted on ABC family? I am doing fine, having fun and safe !!
