Day 9 | Kenton Morlan

First day completed!! Today i got to go help build a house which included hand moving cinderblocks by hand, sifting sand, shoveling sand, and building walls. Needless to say i did not lay the block, not in my skills, but i did do the rest and sweated very much doing so. It was hard and hot work but i would do it again. I mostly carried blocks today so my arms are quite exhausted and worn out. We moved around 650 blocks today to the location. I also spent a lot of time in the sifting pile shoveling and sifting. Its humbling to know and have the chance to help them make sand. Yes i said make sand. As my dad says, “they live on an island how can they not sell sand.” Well its a lot of work but it can be fun too. I enjoyed every minute of today and I'm blessed to be a part of it. I wanna thank and continue to ask for prayers for me and the crew just to keep our minds and hearts in the right place. I will continue to pray and think of all of you back home and my church. I miss my teens and my dog but I'm happy to be here. I love you all and will be thinking and praying for you. God bless you all.

  1. It sounds like you are working hard. We miss you and continue to pray for you and the other team members. May God give you health and strength for the tasks at hand and a heart that seeks to see Him in each experience. I love reading the blogs and watching the videos. It was fun watching the video live tonight. Be safe and make memories. Sleep well. Hugs and love.
