Day 4 | Gina

Morning service was at 6:30 and it was beautiful. Even though we didn’t understand the language, we felt the presence of Holy Spirit and recognized the melodies to old hymns. After service, Johnny took us on what was the most extreme hike I’ve ever experienced. We hiked (aka “slid”) down 2,000 feet and continued on to a waterfall. We were all exhausted after returning from our 4 and ½ hour trip. We’ll all sleep well this evening. Continue to pray for our progress on the playground and the other projects that we’ve been asked to do. Happy Father’s Day, Ron and all of you dads out there! Miss you Ron and Nick and love you bunches.

  1. Hope you guys have a great day today. It has been raining here most of the morning. Nick did a little woodpecker hunting this morning before we came to Glenville. Several flying around, but no shots. He had fun though. Your rose bushes have some beautiful blooms now. Hope the deer leave them alone until you get back. It's really great to hear your voice every evening. Glad you are having such a good time, but I really miss you. Don't barter too hard at the market today. Love you, Ron

  2. Hi Gina,

Ron just texted me the website to view your trip. It looks like everything is going great. You all are doing an amazing thing together. I enjoyed watching the videos. We miss you all. Hope is counting down the days. I can't wait to get in touch with her so that she can see what you all are doing there. Enjoy and have a great time and a safe trip home.

  3. I am looking forward to hearing about this experience. The progress you all are making is amazing. Enjoy the rest of your time in Haiti! Nick is doing well and they had a blast at the Pirate game. The usher at the game commented to Wayne about how well behaved and respectful our boys were. :) Miss you back here in Bridgeport and think about you all daily. Hugs and Prayers! Sherri G

  7. Gina...it's such a small world! Sherri G. was in my office yesterday and overheard me talking about this trip and she said, excitedly, "my friends are there!" I brought here in my office and we watched the videos and I gave her the website so her family could also look. It was fun to watch the videos with her! Glad it is going well! (I can't believe how grown-up Quinn is!)
